This freshwater spring was established in 195 AH by order of Zubayda bint Ja'far al-Mansur, wife of the Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid.
Mount and Cave of Thawr
It was a place where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may God be pleased with them) hid for three nights during their migration to Medina.
Mount Hira and the Cave of Hira
Conclude your tour with a visit to Jabal Al-Nour, where the Cave of Hira is located at its summit.
