From Earth to the moon, from prehistoric times to the modern era, the halls of the Saudi National Museum take you on an exciting journey that transcends time and space, standing before artistic and historical evidence in the heart of Riyadh, in the Al-Murabba' district, next to King Abdulaziz Palace. The museum was opened in 1419 AH, covering an area of 17,000 square meters, and is home to 3,700 heritage pieces, including unparalleled statues, manuscripts, and sculptures.
The Saudi National Museum comprises eight sections brimming with historical significance, beginning with the Hall of Man and the Universe, where you can learn about the origins of the universe and the solar system, as well as the natural factors that have influenced their development over millions of years. The Hall of Ancient Arab Kingdoms allows you to immerse yourself in civilizations spanning from the fourth millennium BC to the second century AD. The Hall of Pre-Islamic Religious and Social Life showcases pre-Islamic lifestyles.
