Its shops and stores are distinguished by being closed and roofed corridors in an organized heritage style, and they have an old architectural style with shapes, miniatures and decorations that belong to the exquisite Islamic art. The General Authority for the Square and National Heritage has classified it as one of the most important cultural and architectural sites in Al-Ahsa Governorate.

The Al-Qaysariyah Market, as it is called, is located in the Al-Kut or Al-Rifa’a neighborhood in Al-Ahsa. It is believed to have been built 600 years ago and was in operation until the late nineteenth century, specifically until 1862 AD. It was mentioned in a number of books by travelers who visited the Arabian Peninsula and the Kingdom, as well as in a number of historical documents. It was rebuilt by King Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God have mercy on him - and it is one of the oldest markets in the Arabian Gulf region. UNESCO included the Al-Qaysariyah Market in the list of World Heritage Sites in 2018 AD, which proved its historical and cultural importance.
